THOROUGHBRED IN SPORT POLO COMPETITION
INTERNATIONAL POLO DAY
We are excited to introduce a unique opportunity to partner with us for the 3rd Annual Lycetts Thoroughbred in Sport International Polo day on Monday 30th June 2025. This event, hosted at the prestigious Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park, offers a unique experience where the elegance and athleticism of thoroughbreds take centre stage, as TIS recognises and celebrates the journey of those thoroughbreds which have successfully transitioned into the world of polo.

​Support for the foundation end of polo is essential, especially when thoroughbreds are now such a fundamental asset to game at every level. We at TIS are proud to support the welfare and longevity of the thoroughbred through this opportunity of a second, long and valued career and we are looking to raise spoonsorship funds to reward through prize money the talent required to retrain the ponies for the game and thus encourage further co-operation with the racing industry.

In bringing together enthusiasts from both racing and polo, the day promises a captivating blend of a competition, a thrilling exhibition with elite polo players and an auction. Set against the backdrop of Guards Polo Club, it is a perfect setting for networking and culminates with a delightful evening of drinks and a sit-down BBQ.
PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY

At 3pm each pony will complete a demonstration where their polo skills will be judged by the top polo players and individuals within the sport. This will be split into three classes, each of which will be followed by prize-giving:

At 5.30pm there will be a short exhibition game of 2 short chukkas in which a number of the ponies will be played by high goal players and demonstrate their adaptability, speed and agility for polo. The Best Playing Pony prize of £1,000 will be awarded after the chukka.

At 5.45pm a live auction offering 10 ponies for sale
